Mr. Minokazu was born and raised in Matsudo and currently teaches there. He is the advisor for the track and field club and is also an active runner himself!
Mr. Minokazu was a soccer boy, but was forced by his middle school advisor to become an athlete! He showed his talent and participated in the All Japan Junior High School Championships! He also participated in the Inter-High School Championships in the 1500m for three consecutive years in high school! He continued to compete in athletics at university, and after graduation he returned to Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, to become a teacher.
The practice is mainly morning practice with students! Although the amount of practice is about 1/3 of what it was when he was active, he is maintaining the same performance as when he was active by incorporating movement and reinforcement that he had not worked on before, so that he does not lose to the students!
He also participated in local competitions with his students!
It is said that under the guidance of Mr. Minokazu, he showed remarkable strength among the students, but finally lost to one of his students in the final match.
The students are also passionate about athletics, trying to become closer to the great Mr. Minokazu's goal!
His future goal is to break his own Masters Japan record. And as a coach, he wants to participate in the Butodaiji ( National High School Ekiden Championship) and win a prize at the Inter-High School Championships!
It's rare and valuable to have a club activity where the coach and students practice together and then compete seriously in tournaments!
Saints are rooting for Mr. Minokazu and the Matsudo High School track and field team!
