Yasunari Yasuto is commonly known as "Yasu" in Sydney, where he is based!
He is the first Japanese Olympian in marathon swimming, placing 15th at the 2012 London Olympics and 8th at the 2016 Rio Olympics, making his name in the history of Japanese open water swimming.
He is currently aiming to place in the top ranks at the Ironman Triathlon World Championships (Kona) and is continuing his competitive activities with the goal of competing in his third Olympic Games at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
